CR Converter - stnkvcmls
stnkvcmls' Ikariam CR Converter version 0.7.5
Converter can be downloaded from here.
1. Select report as shown on screenshot. On screenshot is displayed minimum that must
be selected in order for converter to work.
2. Copy selected report with CTRL+V or with mouse (right click -> copy)
3. Click on button "Paste". If the report is selected properly, converted
report will be shown in the right field. In case that nothing happened you
should send me report so I can fix it.
4. After successful conversion, you need to click the "Copy" button
and copy report on forum.
Settings
Settings are possible to change before and after conversion. They are
distributed in 4 groups.
1. Show - Shows / hides certain parts of the report.
2. Align - Aligns the entire report.
3. Damage - Determine how to show damage.
- Generals: damage in Generals
- Resources: damage in the resources of dead units.
Sub-options:
Only army - only shows the resources of the dead units
Army + loot - shows the resources of the dead units plus loot
4. Colors - Can be changed, but be careful to comply with the colors of the forum.
5. Report type:
- Ikariam forum: report with the BB codes to work on the Ikariam forums
- Plain text: report with no codes, suitable for circular messages
- HTML: report with the HTML codes
Menu
It is possible to change the language of the program from the File -> Change Language.
Besides, it is possible to save current settings in order not to have to change them
every time you start the program. The settings are stored in settings.sicrc
and must be in the same folder as the program.
I clicked the button and nothing happens
If this happens to you it would be desirable to do next. First check
version you use. You must be the same as indicated in
this thread. If the version is the same, then you need to send the report. Save
page that contains the problematic report (File -> Save as).
During save select Web Page, HTML only. Send the file to
stnkvcmls@hotmail.com in order to debug. Thank you.

You must have Java installed to be able to run the program. Watch
that you have installed the latest Java (uninstall other versions before
installing new). If you have problems running program, try to
start it from command promt with the command java -jar file_name.jar.

Nice tool
It feels weird to not be able to see the CR when we have converted it. It is a little weird to have to resize the app when it opens. I do appreciate that we can change the colors of sections by clicking on them, and save our preferences. I dont suppose you would know how to write this as a FF add on?

Yes. The popular DLR converter added the ability to convert a CR into plain text that you could paste into an IRC pastebin, alliance circulars, etc. The formatting was a little off in the circulars but it was far superior to just copying and pasting the CR directly.By "plain text" do you mean text without BB code?

Could you change the "Damage" section to be "Damage Received" instead? The way I originally read the section was the damage CAUSED by a player, not RECEIVED by someone.
I have tweaked the color settings of the converter to more closely match the DLR colors. I have also done some tweaking of the BB code after I pasted it into this reply. I moved some things around, deleted the Losers field and changed the damage section title. This is the same CR as I posted earlier. I feel this version is easier to read.

Neither of my alliances have a message board. We share CR's through circulars to either brag or notify each other of attacks.

I really like that you can change the colors as an option. I think it is fantastic. The one issue could be that Mods have warned people for editing CRs. I hope editing colors won't count as editing the CR.
That was one weird combat report. The new ones do show winner and loser instead of just the winner. Perhaps Loser should stay on the converted CR and we should all get used to it.

I suggest to use ENGLISH as the default language and as ERROR controller instead of pop-up on language ERROR .
